A Norway Spruce from East Greenbush, New York, has been selected as the 2025 Christmas tree for Rockefeller Center. The tree was cut down on Thursday (November 6) and is expected to arrive at Rockefeller Center on Saturday (November 8). This marks a significant moment for the small town as their tree will be showcased in one of the most iconic holiday displays in the United States.

The tree will be adorned with over 50,000 multi-colored, energy-efficient LED lights and topped with a Swarovski star. According to CBS6 Albany, the lighting ceremony is scheduled for December 3 during the live broadcast of 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center.'

After the holiday season, the tree will be milled into lumber for Habitat for Humanity, ensuring that its legacy continues by helping those in need. The tree will remain on display until mid-January 2026.
