Authorities are set to indict a suspect today for the murder of 76-year-old Daniel Frament, whose body was discovered on the Mohawk Hudson Bike Trail in Menands in April 2024. The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed due to a sealed indictment, is expected to be arraigned in Albany County Court on charges of second-degree murder.

Frament, a Vietnam War veteran and retired attorney, died from severe head trauma, as confirmed by an autopsy. He was known as an avid walker who frequently used the bike trail. The case remained unsolved for nearly a year until investigators identified 25-year-old Anthony Quesen as a person of interest. Quesen was already in custody for the murder of an off-duty officer in Pennsylvania, with authorities noting similarities between the two crimes, although lacking direct evidence linking him to Frament's murder.

According to NEWS10 ABC, officials will hold a press conference today to provide further details on the case. As reported by CBS6 Albany, the arraignment is expected to bring some relief to Frament's friends and neighbors, who described him as a "free-spirited guy."

Further updates will follow after the court appearance.
