Joshua Fowler, a 26-year-old resident of Cropseyville has pleaded guilty to the triple homicide of his wife, father, and step-grandmother. The tragic incident occurred on June 18 in the town of Grafton. Fowler admitted to fatally shooting each victim with a rifle during the same incident.
As part of a plea agreement, Fowler will serve at least 45 years in prison, sparing him a life sentence without the possibility of parole. He will be formally sentenced on January 26, 2026. Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced the plea, expressing gratitude to the New York State Police for their role in the investigation. "Today, Joshua Fowler took accountability for fatally shooting his wife, father, and step-grandmother," Donnelly stated.
The case is being prosecuted by Chief Assistant District Attorney Spencer Lane, with Assistant District Attorney Nora Baker assisting. The plea agreement provides some measure of justice and closure for the families of the victims.
