Price Chopper/Market 32 and the Salvation Army have launched their annual Holiday Red Kettle Campaign, with red kettles set up at all supermarket locations through December 24. This partnership, which has lasted over 35 years, aims to support local communities by collecting donations for those in need. Last year, the campaign raised over $618,000, providing essential services like food and shelter to local communities.

Blaine Bringhurst, president of Market 32 and Price Chopper, expressed pride in supporting the Salvation Army's mission, saying, "It’s a privilege to open our doors to this tradition each year." Major Michelle Dressler, Salvation Army Divisional Commander for the Empire State, emphasized the importance of community generosity, stating, "All funds raised during our annual Red Kettle Campaign stay local to make a real difference right here in our communities."

The Salvation Army uses these donations to offer various services, including food pantries, emergency assistance programs, and Christmas and toy assistance. Since 2010, the collaboration with Price Chopper/Market 32 has raised over $9 million to support these initiatives. Shoppers can contribute to the red kettles at any of the 129 stores across New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
