New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that could help solve the homicide of one-year-old Zanilya Hill-Conley from Watervliet. In August, Zanilya was taken to Samaritan Hospital with a head injury and later transferred to Albany Medical Center. She passed away six days later on August 6, 2025. An autopsy revealed that Zanilya died from a lack of oxygen to her brain due to inner-skull bleeding, and her death has been ruled a homicide.
According to Spectrum Local News, Zanilya's mother, Elisha Hill, reported that she left her daughter at a friend's home while she went to work. She later received a call about Zanilya making "long spit bubbles," and upon returning, found her daughter unresponsive. Despite being taken to the hospital, Zanilya succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities have not filed any charges in the case and are urging anyone with information to contact the NYS Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-866-313-TIPS (8477). The reward is for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
