The 39th Annual Victorian Streetwalk will transform downtown Saratoga Springs into a winter wonderland tonight (Thursday, December 4). Starting at 5:50 PM, the event kicks off with a parade from the intersection of Broadway and Church Street, leading to a tree lighting ceremony in front of Putnam Market at 6:00 PM.

The festive evening, running until 9:00 PM, offers a variety of entertainment and activities. Attendees can enjoy live music, performances by local groups, and Victorian-era costumes. Santa Claus will make an appearance, and children can visit him in his Cottage after the tree lighting. This year, children from Make-A-Wish and their families will help illuminate the 27-foot Balsam tree, adding a heartwarming touch to the ceremony, as reported by Saratoga.com.

The Festival of Trees, hosted at the Saratoga Springs City Center, features over 250 decorated trees and holiday items for sale. A special admission price of five dollars is offered for the event, supporting local charities. Visitors can also contribute to the Toys for Toga drive, which has brightened the holidays for over 1,500 local children annually.

To ensure safety, Broadway will be closed from Van Dam Street/Route 50 to Spring Street from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Victorian Streetwalk is a cherished tradition, bringing together the community to celebrate the holiday season with joy and camaraderie.
