A Ballston Lake man, Ronald Cochon, 56, was arrested on Tuesday (December 2) after allegedly strangling a minor, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to a domestic incident on Ballston Lake Road in Clifton Park, just before 6:40 p.m. It is alleged that Cochon choked a child under the age of 17. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Cochon faces several charges, including second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court and is currently held in the Saratoga County Jail pending further legal proceedings.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about domestic violence and child safety in the community. As the legal process unfolds, authorities continue to stress the importance of reporting any suspected abuse to law enforcement.
