The cast and crew of the acclaimed HBO series 'The Gilded Age' will return to Troy to film portions of the show's fourth season next year. Known for its stunning portrayal of 1880s New York society, the series has been nominated for multiple Primetime Emmy Awards. Troy's historical architecture makes it an ideal filming location for the period drama, which explores the clash between old money and new money families during the Gilded Age.

The series, created by Julian Fellowes, features a talented ensemble cast, including Christine Baranski, Carrie Coon, and Cynthia Nixon. Baranski plays Agnes van Rhijn, a formidable matriarch who represents the old money elite, while Coon portrays Bertha Russell, an ambitious new money socialite. Nixon stars as Ada Brook, Agnes's gentle sister.

The show's success is attributed to its compelling storytelling and strong performances, which have earned it critical acclaim since its premiere in 2022. All episodes of the first three seasons are currently available for streaming on HBO Max. According to WNYT, the filming in Troy will contribute to the city's reputation as a desirable location for historical productions.
