An Albany man, Nahiem Timmons, was arrested on Monday (December 29) on multiple felony charges related to weapons and drugs. The arrest occurred during a narcotics operation conducted by Albany County deputies near Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue. Timmons, 32, was found with a loaded revolver and approximately two grams of crack cocaine, which authorities allege he intended to distribute.
The operation was part of the Sheriff's Community Oriented Policing Effort (S.C.O.P.E.), aimed at reducing crime in the area. After his arrest, Timmons was arraigned and sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility.
According to CBS 6 Albany, Timmons faces serious charges due to the possession of both a firearm and narcotics. The incident highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address drug-related activities and illegal weapon possession in Albany.
