E-Bike Rider Dies After Collision with Vehicle in Albany

A tragic accident in Albany has left a 46-year-old electric bicycle rider dead following a collision with a vehicle. The incident occurred early Sunday morning (January 4) when the rider, traveling south on Ten Broeck Street, turned left onto Clinton Avenue and struck the passenger side of a westbound vehicle.

According to CBS6 Albany, police officers responded to the scene around 1:10 a.m. and found the man with serious injuries. Emergency medical personnel treated him on-site before transporting him to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the Albany Police Department's ongoing investigation. The victim's name has not been released, pending notification of family members.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine its cause.
