Woman Recovering After Stabbing Incident in Troy

A 60-year-old woman is recovering after being stabbed at her home on Wynantskill Way in Troy. The incident occurred on Sunday evening (January 4), when an argument with her 20-year-old granddaughter escalated into violence. According to the Times Union, police were called to the scene around 6 p.m., where they found the woman seriously injured.

Emergency workers provided immediate medical aid before transporting her to a local hospital. As of Monday, she was reported to be in stable condition. The granddaughter, whose name has not been released, was detained at the scene and is facing charges, including assault and weapons violations. She was expected to be arraigned on Monday.

The police have not released further details about the argument that led to the stabbing. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
