The Saratoga Film Showcase (SFS) is set to return to Saratoga Springs for its second annual event from January 23 to January 25, 2026. This event celebrates independent filmmakers and regional storytelling, offering a platform for creative community engagement. The showcase will feature 31 short films, nearly doubling last year's lineup, with almost all filmmakers attending in person. The event has gained recognition as a significant destination for award-winning independent filmmakers and engaged audiences.

Supported by community partners such as Discover Saratoga, Saratoga Arts, and Putnam Place, the showcase includes film screenings, panels, live programming, and social gatherings to connect artists and audiences. The weekend kicks off on Friday (January 23) with "Shorts After Dark," a high-energy screening of inventive short films, followed by an opening night party with a seven-piece funk rock band. Saturday's (January 24) programming features curated film blocks and a special spotlight on practical special effects in independent filmmaking. Oscar-winning makeup artist Annemarie Bradley will participate in a panel discussion on cinematic effects. Sunday's (January 25) "Home-Grown" program highlights locally made films, showcasing the region's filmmaking scene.

Proceeds from the nonprofit event will be donated to Camp Stomping Ground, supporting arts camp scholarships for young people. Last year, the showcase raised $11,000, enabling six children to attend Arts Fest. Weekend passes are available on a sliding scale to ensure financial accessibility, with priority access for those who pre-order before January 23.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and community members interested in supporting the event. For more information, visit the Saratoga Arts website.
