A $1,000 reward is being offered by the New York State Humane Association (NYSHA) for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in an animal abuse case in Schenectady. The incident, which occurred on January 14, involved a person caught on camera attacking a dog on Union Street. The dog, described as a gray and white pit bull mix, was the victim of the abuse, though it is unclear if the animal sustained severe injuries.

The Schenectady Police Department is working in collaboration with NYSHA to solve the case. They are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Tips can be reported to the Schenectady Police Department at (518) 788-6566 or the New York State Humane Association at (845) 532-2756.
