Schenectady County, in partnership with the American Red Cross, is hosting a blood drive today (Tuesday, January 27) at the Honorable Karen B. Johnson Library on Clinton Street. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and aims to address the decline in blood donations typically seen during the winter months.
According to Schenectady County's official website, all donors will receive a $20 electronic gift card as a token of appreciation. Additionally, participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a trip for two to Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans next month.
Appointments are required to donate blood and can be made in advance through the Red Cross website at redcrossblood.org. The county encourages residents to roll up their sleeves and contribute to maintaining adequate blood supplies during this critical time.
