A 14-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen and rushed to the hospital Tuesday (February 24) evening after a shooting on Clinton Avenue in Albany, New York's West Hill neighborhood.
According to Albany Police, officers responded to a call at around 7:20 p.m. and arrived to find the teenage boy with a gunshot wound to his abdomen in the 600 block of Clinton Avenue. He was treated at the scene before being transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital.
The Times Union reports that the teen remained in stable condition on Wednesday (February 25), and Albany Police spokeswoman Officer Megan Craft confirmed his injuries are non-life-threatening.
NewsChannel 13 reported that Albany Police could be seen blocking off the front of a home with yellow crime scene tape Tuesday night, and detectives were observed carrying evidence in and out of the residence.
Police have not released details about how the shooting unfolded. As of Wednesday (February 25), no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing, and Albany Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
