Albany residents are being encouraged to participate in the largest civic engagement effort in the city's history. Mayor Dorcey Applyrs has launched the Activate Albany Community Survey, inviting residents and businesses to share their thoughts on what is working in the city, what needs improvement, and what changes they want to see. The survey, available online, will directly influence the mayor's policy agenda.

The deadline for completing the survey is March 15, and Mayor Applyrs emphasizes the importance of community input in shaping decisions at City Hall. According to WNYT, the survey is open to all residents and businesses across Albany.

Feedback from the survey will address various concerns, including crime, housing, transportation, and education. A recent survey by the Times Union highlighted residents' desires for stronger public safety, more vibrant downtowns, and affordable housing. Respondents also called for better infrastructure, recreational offerings, and transparency in city governance.

Albany residents are urged to take part in this initiative to help shape the future of their community. The city aims to create a more engaged and involved citizenry, ensuring that residents have a say in the decisions that affect their lives.
