Arrest Made in Schenectady Stabbing Case

Schenectady police have arrested Domique Lewis, 38, in connection with a stabbing that left a 41-year-old woman hospitalized. The incident occurred on Wednesday (March 4) afternoon on State Street. The victim, who is known to Lewis, managed to walk to Vale Cemetery where she called 911 for help.

Upon arriving at the cemetery, officers found the woman with multiple stab wounds to her arms and torso. She was promptly taken to a local hospital, where she is still receiving treatment for her injuries. According to the police, Lewis was apprehended shortly after the attack without incident. He has been charged with first-degree assault, a Class B felony.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives continue to piece together the events leading up to the stabbing. Authorities are working to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the attack.
