Road Closures in Albany for St. Patrick’s Day Parades

Albany, New York, will experience several road closures on Saturday (March 14) due to the 75th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the North Albany Limerick Parade. The North Albany Limerick Parade will start at 11:30 a.m. from Druthers on Broadway and follow a new route, moving north to the Menands Village Line, west onto Wolfert Avenue, and ending at North Pearl Street. Road closures for this parade will be in effect from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with parking restrictions from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to Spectrum News.

The 75th Albany St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 2 p.m., starting at Lexington Avenue and proceeding along Central Avenue, Washington Avenue, and State Street. Road closures for this event will commence at 7 a.m., and parking restrictions will be in place from Friday (March 13) at 6 a.m. to Saturday (March 14) at 6 p.m. News10 ABC reports that off-street parking is available at ParkAlbany locations.

For those attending the parades, the Albany Police Department has arranged handicap parking on side streets adjacent to Central Avenue. An officer will be stationed at intersections to provide assistance. The parades will be livestreamed on the NEWS10 website.
