The Siena men's basketball team is set to face the top overall seed, Duke, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. This matchup will take place on Thursday (March 19) at 2:50 p.m. ET in Greenville, South Carolina, and will be broadcast on CBS. If Siena manages to secure a victory against Duke, they will advance to play the winner of the Ohio State versus TCU game, which takes place earlier the same day at 12:15 p.m. ET.
The Saints, led by head coach Gerry McNamara, enter the tournament as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champions with a record of 23-11. Meanwhile, the Duke Blue Devils, coached by Jon Scheyer, hold an impressive 32-2 record and are the reigning ACC champions. According to The Fayetteville Observer, Duke's roster has been impacted by injuries, with starting center Patrick Ngongba II expected to return for the tournament after missing the ACC tournament due to foot soreness. However, starting point guard Caleb Foster remains sidelined with a foot fracture.
