A new series of afterschool events, called the TeenXcel Program, is now available for teenagers in Albany and Cohoes. The initiative is a partnership between several organizations, including the Albany County District Attorney's Office and the Capital District YMCA, and aims to provide safe and engaging activities for local teens.

According to the official program listing, the TeenXcel events are held on Tuesdays through June 16 at the Saint Rose Events and Athletic Center in Albany, and on Fridays through June 26 at the Gil Ethier Albany County Athletic and Community Center in Cohoes. These events are designed to give teens a place to connect, learn new skills, and participate in sports and other group activities.

Organizers say registration details and schedules for each session can be found online at the Albany County Recreation website. The program is open to all local teenagers and aims to foster a positive community environment during afterschool hours.

For more information about upcoming TeenXcel events and how to sign up, residents can also check the Albany County Community Calendar. The program will continue to run through the early summer, with hopes of expanding similar opportunities in the future.
