Troy road crews have launched a citywide initiative to repair potholes that formed during the winter months, aiming to improve driving conditions and public safety. The project, called "Operation Pothole," will continue in Troy over the coming weeks as part of the Quality of Life Action Task Force.
According to NEWS10 ABC, Mayor Carmella Mantello said, "We’re taking a hands-on, block-by-block approach to tackling potholes across the City of Troy. Through our Quality-of-Life Action Task Force, our crews are working quickly and efficiently, and I’m grateful for their continued dedication. We thank residents for their patience as we improve road conditions after a harsh winter, to make our streets safer for all."
Crews are working daily to remove debris and fill potholes with hot asphalt. The city also has plans to announce a milling and filling paving schedule, which will align with lead pipe replacement efforts in the near future. Residents who spot potholes in their neighborhoods are encouraged to report them using the city’s online form.
Officials urge drivers to remain patient and cautious while repairs are underway. Additional updates on the paving schedule and related infrastructure projects are expected in the coming weeks.
