As Spring Break unfolds, the Schenectady County Legislature is rolling out a variety of activities to keep children entertained. From Monday (April 6) through Friday (April 10), kids can participate in Puzzle Palooza, a week-long event held at various libraries across the county. Participants can enjoy puzzles ranging from 60 to 500 pieces, making it an engaging activity for both younger children and teens. The event runs from 1–4 p.m. each day at different library locations, including the KBJ Main Library and the Mont Pleasant Branch Library.
In addition to Puzzle Palooza, the county offers other exciting activities. The New York Phoenix is providing free admission to their game on Sunday (April 12), allowing families to enjoy professional basketball at the M&T Bank Center at Mohawk Harbor.
For those interested in science and history, the Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) is hosting "Earth Week" break classes from April 6–10, where children in grades K-5 can engage in hands-on STEAM activities. The Empire State Aerosciences Museum offers a glimpse into aviation history, while the Proctors Theatre will feature the Broadway musical 'Water for Elephants' from April 7–12.
These activities, along with many others, provide affordable and diverse options for families to enjoy during Spring Break. A full list of events is available online, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the week.
