A neighborhood argument in Glen ended with one man stabbed and another in jail after an incident Friday night. According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at about 9:06 p.m. Friday (April 12) to a reported dispute near Auriesville Road and State Highway 30A. While deputies were en route, they were notified that someone at the scene had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found Joshua J. Guyette, 29, and took him into custody without incident. Deputies also located an adult man suffering from a stab wound to the side of his stomach. The victim was transported by Lake Valley EMS to Albany Medical Center, where he was treated and later released.

Investigators said Guyette and the victim, both residents of the area, were allegedly involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight, resulting in the stabbing.

Guyette faces charges including second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and a bench warrant. He was arraigned in Glen Town Court and sent to Montgomery County Jail on bail. Guyette is scheduled to appear in the Town of Glen Court at a later date for further proceedings.
