Two Hospitalized After Stabbing in Albany Fight

Two men were taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries after a stabbing occurred during a large fight near South Pearl Street and Morton Avenue late Wednesday (April 15) night, according to CBS6 Albany.

Police say the incident happened around 11 p.m., when a large altercation broke out and one person involved pulled out a knife, resulting in two men being stabbed. A 43-year-old man walked into the AFD Engine 5 firehouse with a minor cut on his arm, while a 39-year-old man entered the South Station lobby with a puncture wound in his abdomen. Both men received medical attention at the scene before being transported to Albany Medical Center.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fight and who was responsible for the stabbing.

Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing, with no arrests announced as of Thursday morning. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Albany Police Department as officials work to determine exactly what happened.
