Visits to Paris, Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland! Do to "jet lag," Joe, at this time, is too tired to look up the actual names of the cities and cathedrals. He says he will in the future. Keep in mind, he was born with "Joe lag," very similar to "jet lag," only worse.
Joe with a Swiss fan! Actually his wife and they are in the beautiful Swiss Alps! Awesome!
A village in the Alps!
Joe forgets where this was taken. He knows it was in Europe, however. Let's say he would not make for a good travel guide.
One of Germany's many beautiful Cathedrals. We visited several German cities as well as several cities in France and a few in Switzerland with a stop also in Luxembourg
The grave site of General George Patton in the American Military Cemetery in Luxembourg
Brave American solders who gave it all for us in World War II. A somber visit to the American Military Cemetery, one of many in Europe
Joe now realizes there are some things taller than he. The Eiffel Tower in Paris. An awesome site to behold in person! Not Joe, the Tower. However, Joe claims he is taller but the way the photo was taken is misleading.
One of many castles viewed from our river cruise on the Moselle and Rhine Rivers. Joe says when he makes it to the BIG TIME OF RADIO, he might just buy one or two of these things.
A German city full of old world charm. You really have to see it to believe it.
Europe is beautiful! Most of the people we encountered (knowing Joe, most likely outdoor cafe waiters and waitresses) started out speaking in their native language and then quickly realized we were Americans and switched to the English language. Made communicating very easy. We were told that most people in Europe, say the French, will also learn the languages of their neighboring countries. One fascinating place we visited was Strasbourg, France. As I understood it, one side of the river is Germany and the other side is France. Very cool!
It wasn't all play as Joe and the Mrs. had to do some work while visiting Interlaken (pronounced Interlocken) near Zurich
