The group Green Light NY held a "Day of Action" in Albany calling for driver's licenses for all, regardless of immigration status. They say hundreds of people will be at the Capitol to speak with legislators.
They are calling for passage of a bill which would provide a limited purpose driver's license to illegal immigrants.
Green Light NY says the bill would improve public safety by ensuring that everyone driving on our roads passes a licensing exam and is operating an inspected and insured vehicle.
