Looks like a spring snowstorm as we close out the month of March.

Accu-Weather says we could get 2-3 inches out of this.

The National Weather Service has the immediate Capital Region under a Winter Weather Advisory, and some places in the Adirondacks, Green Mountains, and Berkshires could find themselves with upwards of 7 inches of snow.

Meanwhile, the state DOT is ready.

Bryan Viggiani says the temperatures over the past week will help somewhat.

Still, the snow will likely stick on secondary roads during the day, and if it changes back to snow Friday night, even the main roads could get snow covered and slippery.

Viggani says 34 thousand tons of road salt is in DOT garages, so there should be enough to handle things.
