Launched about a month ago, but now coming to the forefront as the 3-year-old horses are competing for the triple crown, the NYRA NOW app streams live and on-demand New York Racing Association video content.
NYRA NOW Communications Director Pat McKenna says this is just the ticket for both racing and non-racing fans.
"It is an on-demand video application that will provide access to not only all of our live racing, but also an incredible amount of content, including each day's, 'Talking Horses,' which as our fans will recognize, is our daily handicapping show."
McKenna adds that this is a more effective way for long-time and new fans to view and learn more about horse racing.
"NYRA NOW actually replaced the NYRA HD app, which was the previous version of our video app, so we're excited about it; it should certainly make for interesting viewing."
McKenna says the app will also allow users to select replays of all NYRA races at Belmont, Aqueduct, and Saratoga, dating back to April 2016.
He also believes the app sets the industry standard in presenting thoroughbred racing.
"There's a wealth of information, we're proud of it, and it should be a pretty fantastic resource for both the horse player and the more casual fan alike."
NYRA NOW is currently available on Apple iOS, Android, and Chromecast.
Additional platforms are soon to be added.
