It was a "slam dunk" case according to Gerard Burks' attorney.
Burks pleaded guilty to brutally beating an Albany woman to death last November at the South Mall Towers. Terry Kindlon says he encouraged his client to take the plea deal.
Lori Milks died a week after the random beating. Burks, who at first rejected a plea deal last week, faces at least 18 years in prison when he's sentenced on July 13th.
