New York's Most Popular Baby Names of 2016 are Revealed



The Social Security Administration has announced the most popular baby names in New York for 2016.

Liam is the top boys name and Olivia is number one for girls. New York is not too far off of of the national trends, with each of those names checking in second overall.

The top five boys and girls names for 2016 in New York were:

Boys:                                   Girls:

1) Liam                                1) Olivia

2) Jacob                              2) Emma

3) Noah                              3) Sophia

4) Ethan                              4) Isabella

5) Michael                          5) Ava

The top national names are Noah and Emma.
