A popular Spring event returns and brings with it a taste of Greek Culture.
The St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church's annual Festival runs Friday through Sunday in Albany. Public Relations and Marketing Chair Maria Neal says there's a lot of preparation that goes into it. "The ladies of our community start baking probably four or five weeks ago, making lot of the Greek traditional baked goods. They make close to 20,000 pieces of pastry."
The festival has been running for more than 40 years and also features children and young adult dancers showcasing styles from the various Greek regions. Admission is $3 and children under 12 are free.
