An arrest in Troy has been connected to the stabbing death of 46-year-old Leonard Ellis.
Police say new information led to 51-year-old Anthony Rickett of Troy as the killer.
Rickett was located in a home at 117th Street and 3rd Avenue.
He did not immediately surrender, but gave up after several hours, and was taken into custody.
Rickett will be arraigned on charges including murder, burglary, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Ellis died inside of his North Central home, after being repeatedly stabbed in the chest on July 11th.
