Fresh Look at Unsolved Case of Missing UAlbany Student

State Police are hoping to generate some new leads in the case of a UAlbany student who went missing in 1985.  This week's "Cold Case Tuesday" focus by the state police involves the case of Karen Wilson, who was 22 when she last seen leaving a Tanning Hut in Colonie.  In addition to being a student, Karen also worked as an intern at the Office of Assemblyman Samuel Coleman.

Around the time she vanished there was an unconfirmed sighting of Karen in the area known as Six Mile Waterworks, but despite searches using helicopters and dogs, no evidence was ever recovered to help police find her.

Karen's description is as follows: white female, 5’ 03”, 114 pounds,  brown eyes and light brown hair. She was last seen wearing a ¾ length  cream colored raincoat, faded blue jeans and carrying a blue knapsack.

Each Tuesday, State Police try to generate new tips by focusing the public's attention on cold cases.

Anyone with information about Karen Wilson's disappearance is asked to call State Police in Latham at 518-783-3211.
