Pretty much everyone in our area is in agreement: the recent weather has been great.
Daytime highs have been in the upper 70's to low 80's, and nighttime lows have been in the upper 50's.
However, this also means the region's apple crop is peaking sooner then normal.
Ed Miller of Goold Orchards in Castleton tells News Channel 13 that you should start your apple picking early this year.
"If you want them, they're not going to stay on the tree forever, we wish we could do that, but it's going to be early, it's going to be good quality."
On the other hand, Miller says the wet weather we had earlier this summer is resulting in smaller pumpkins.
