An accident Thursday morning along Washington Ave. Extension near Crossgates Commons has left one man dead.
Police have identified him as 31-year-old Roger Sawyer of Guilderland.
The accident happened around 5:30 Thursday morning and involved a bicyclist and an SUV at the entrance to the Commons.
Albany police say at this point they believe the bicyclist was crossing northbound and the vehicle was traveling westbound.
The driver stopped at the scene and has been cooperating with authorities.
