Bald Eagle Flies Into Schoharie School Bus

A Bald Eagle is dead after it flew into the path of a school bus Monday.

The bird was found dead alongside I-88 shortly after it flew directly into the path of a Schoharie Central school bus a little after 11am.

Neither the students nor the driver were hurt, although the windshield was shattered and the bus had to be towed from the scene.

The students were transferred to a different bus.

Bald Eagles are considered to be a threatened species in New York State.
