State Police are reminding New York pistol permit holders of the upcoming deadline to complete re-certification of their permit.
Changes to state law require license holders to re-certify every five years.
People who were issued a pistol/revolver license before January 15, 2013 must re-certify by the end of this month.
There is no cost for re-certification, which can be accomplished with a form online HERE.
