Police in Schenectady are asking for help locating a stolen fire hydrant. Police say the hydrant went missing shortly after an accident at the intersection of Cutler Street and Fifth Avenue.
As a result of the collision, the fire hydrant detached from the ground. The suspect appears to be a man, driving a Ford F-250 pick-up truck with a dull black finish. The truck was equipped with a yellow snow plow and had a homemade wooden box in the bed of the vehicle.
