The first public forum for the New York State Autism Spectrum Disorders Advisory Board is happening on Tuesday from noon to 2 pm.
The board was put together to provide guidance to New York lawmakers, individuals with an autism diagnosis and their families. Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara says they hope to help people work together on understanding the most effective ways to deliver services to those on the spectrum, from childhood to adulthood. The local public forum gathering will happen at 500 Balltown Road in Schenectady and will be linked to other participants around the state by video conference.
