Thousands of Fans in Albany for NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament

More than 10,000 basketball fans were in Albany yesterday to see the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament games.

Commissioner of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, Richard Ensor, tells News Channel 13 area kids will benefit from this experience.

"It's a good role model for young girls, but it's also good for the boys, because they get to come out and see fundamental basketball played at a very high level."

The winners from yesterday, UConn and South Carolina, will face off tomorrow at 7 PM at the Times Union Center.

The winner of that game will head to the Final Four.

Another family-friendly fan fest will begin at 5 PM.
