Virginia Homicide Suspect Found Hiding Out in Albany County

A man wanted in connection with a robbery and homicide in Virginia is in custody in Albany County.

State Police say Andrew Jeffers was one of four suspects in a robbery that went bad in Roanoke, VA on May 19th.

Reports from Virginia indicate three people set up a robbery, but one of the suspects brought out a gun and shot Amber Ross of Franklin County.

Two of the suspects were arrested on May 22nd, and a third in Roanoke earlier this month.

Troopers were tipped off that Jeffers was hiding in the Hilltowns. He was taken into custody on Sunday. His extradition to Virginia is pending.
