Governor Cuomo Pardons Seven Illegal Immigrants Facing Deportation

Governor Cuomo is granting pardons to seven people who were at-risk for deportation because of ‘minor criminal convictions.’

Cuomo says he took into account behavior after the conviction as well as the service to local communities. Capital Bureau Chief of the New York Daily News Ken Lovett tells WGY's Chuck and Kelly his actions were meant as a message to the Feds. “His hope is that pardoning them, the federal government won’t deport them, although that isn’t a guarantee.”

The governor has taken the federal government to task for their approach to immigration.
