Two Montgomery County Sheriffs Deputies are on paid administrative leave after Montgomery County Sheriff Michael Amato says that one deputy hit an 18-year-old who was skateboarding with his car on Northern Boulevard and another deputy knew of the incident and failed to report it.
Charged in the case is the driver 46-year-old Roberto Gracia. Also facing charges Deputy Theresa Pingitore.
This accident happened on July 11th and Gracia is charged with tampering with evidence, misdemeanor Failure to report an accident, and professional misconduct.
Pingitore is charged with professional misconduct.
The 18 year old hit suffered cuts and bruises to his head, arm and shoulder. Schenectady County DA Bob Carney has been assigned as special prosecutor in the case.
