Saratoga Springs City Hall Closed "Indefinitely"

Saratoga Springs City Hall will be closed indefinitely following a Friday night fire that resulted in major water damage to much of the building.

"There's a lot going on in there," said mayor Meg Kelly.  "A lot of the offices have been cleaned out trying to get to the water damage.  The Music Hall is being worked on, the ceiling is being worked on, so there's extensive damage in several departments."

For the time being, all city offices will set up at the Recreation Center, 15 Vanderbilt Ave.  Police operations will continue from the Lake Ave. headquarters, as that section of the building was not badly damaged.

No damage estimate at this time.

City Council will meet tomorrow (Tues) from 6-9 pm at the City Center Meeting Room 1.
