100+ Jobs Coming to Capital Region

Over a hundred jobs will be coming to the Capital Region.

Governor Cuomo announced on Friday that ILUM Health Solutions, a subsidiary of Merck & Co., will be relocating to the Albany area to team up with the Health Department and data analysis company OpGen.

Their mission will be to detect, track, and manage antimicrobial resistant infections.

ILUM's relocation will create up to 115 jobs over a five-year period, investing $48 million.

While their permanent location has not yet been announced, ILUM will be leasing space in downtown Albany, near the Corning Tower.

This puts their location close to Wadsworth Center Laboratory facilities in the Empire State Plaza.
