General Electric CEO John Flannery Leaves the Company

After less than two years on the job, General Electric and CEO John Flannery have parted ways.

Flannery took over for Jeff Immelt in June of 2017, and attempted to make the company leaner and stronger by focusing on aviation, power, and renewable energy.

WGY Financial Analyst Dennis Fagan of Fagan Associates says "most felt that Mr. Flannery was moving too slowly for the massive overhaul that GE needed."

Replacing Flannery is former Danaher Corporation CEO, Lawrence Culp.
