Chick-fil-A Confirms No New Location Coming to Capital Region

You shouldn't believe everything you see on social media. Recently there have been several local reports of Chick-fil-A opening a new location in the Troy area. We can confirm that these reports are false and as of right now WGY can confirm there is no new location opening in the near future.

After seeing the online reports of a Chick-fil-A opening in Speigletown we reached out to Chick-fil-A to confirm this information.

In a response back to us here is what a Chick-fil-A spokesperson said:

We are always evaluating potential new locations in the hopes of serving existing and new customers great food with remarkable service. While we hope to serve the Albany-Troy community in the future, we do not currently have any locations to confirm.

Right now it looks like the only way the residents of the Capital Region will be able to enjoy Chick-fil-A will be to buy a plane ticket or drive a few hours east or west.
