Included in the recently-passed state budget is a pay hike for Governor Cuomo.
Cuomo’s salary will be $200,000 this year, up from the $179,000 New York Governors have been paid since 1999.
He'll then be paid $225,000 in 2020 and $250,000 in 2021.
Barring any big pay hikes for other governors, the raises would make Cuomo the highest paid governor in the nation. California Governor Gavin Newsom currently holds the title with a salary of $202,000.
