Lifetime Sets Stage for NXIVM Cult Movie

A movie on the NXIVM saga is coming to Lifetime.

The film will be called "NXIVM Cult: A Mother's Nightmare" and will focus on the story of "Dynasty" actress Catherine Oxenberg, whose daughter was a part of the Capital Region based cult.

Oxenberg will be played by Rescue Me’s Andrea Roth, while her daughter India will be played by Jasper Polish. Peter Facinelli of Twilight and Can’t Hardly Wait will portray Raniere, while Secret Girlfriend’s Sara Fletcher will play Allison Mack, the actress best known for Smallville.

The leader of NXIVM, Keith Raniere, was found guilty in federal court last month on charges including sex trafficking, forced labor and racketeering. He's facing life in prison when he's sentenced in September.

Meanwhile, sentencing hearings for 3 other co-defendants who entered guilty pleas, Nancy Salzman, Claire Bronfman, and Kathy Russell, have been postponed indefinitely.

The movie will be released this Fall.
