A local mayor has reportedly agreed to plead guilty to a federal charge. According to the Times Union, Cohoes Mayor Shawn Morse may also be required to resign if he's sentenced before the end of 2019.
Morse has been accused of several federal crimes, including using campaign funds for personal expenses. Morse has also been accused of domestic violence.
Retired State Police Major Bill Keeler is running unopposed and has been expected to take the role of Mayor at the end of Morse's term.
